From Finch Bay to Cherry Tree Bay

Today, as promised, we took a walk to the two closest bays around Cooktown.

The sign told us that it’s just 800 metres to Cherry Tree Bay, but to allow 45 minutes for the walk.

The walk was pretty easy. Some spots are steep and require a minor degree of fitness.

We got to see some cool views back to Finch Bay, as well seeing some cool stuff along the track.

We eventualay got into Cherry Tree. It took us 45 minutes, but we stopped to take a lot of photos. We had a really nice day out. All up we walked about 7 kilometres with about three of those kays being trails around headlands and up the side of the ridge. Unfortunately the battery got low. So not many pics of the return journey up Grassy Hill.
