Offshore Research

Here’s a couple of thoughts for you…

Why do we insist on making all the smart people go overseas to develop their technologies?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to subsidise those interested in advancing renewable energies to stay here, giving our country a boost in the renewable market?

I think we have it all back-asswards. We should be kicking out the polluters and encouraging those with the good ideas.

But that’s just one silly greenie’s opinion…

The above might interest you Tina.
Never hear much about Warren (only know it as the little town out west where my dad grew up) so was very surprised to hear about this.

How cool, thanks CC. I’m going to have to look into this more. I have to admit that the idea of burning rubber and producing no waste sounds a little too good to be true… but wouldn’t it be wonderful if it is? I could probably supply them with almost a years’ worth of tyres… just from the businesses that I know personally. Discarded tyres are a really big problem to us… especially around these parts, where we rely a lot on the transport industry.
I may do another post on this in the next couple of days. I’ll see what else I can find out about this… I also had another ‘tyre post’ idea that I wanted to put up here… keep an eye out.

I’m keeping an eye on this one too – am fascinated to find out exactly how the process works. (Think we have all seen burning tyres and it’s not nice!)
If this is a success it would be a HUGE bonus for everyone.
Will be watching for your tyre idea 🙂
